Jake Bruner

Bio

Jake Bruner enters his 26th year in public school education, where he has had roles as a High School Principal, Athletic Director, Social Studies Educator, Head High School Football Coach, CBI Educator, High School & Middle School Assistant Track Coach, JV basketball coach, and Student Council Advisor. During his tenure at Bucyrus, he had the first nine-win season in sixteen years and the most wins in any three, four, five, or six-win period since the beginnings of Redmen Football in 1896. He transitioned to Head Coach of his alma mater in 2022, leading the Eagles to back-to-back, 10-win seasons 2022-2023. The Eagles Football program under his leadership has made Final Four, Elite Eight, and Sixteen Appearances in OHSAA football playoffs, as well as won the program's best 13 games in 2025. Coach Bruner was selected Coach of the Year in 2022 & 2025 and coached in the prestigious North & South game in Massillon in 2023. Coach Bruner is 42-9 as the head coach of the Eagles and 84-37 in 11 seasons as a head Coach. Coach also serves as the OHSFCA Region 2 Director and Vice President of the NCOFCA.
